PRESENTERS

Britt Klontz Britt Klontz is a senior PR manager for Distilled, a creative online marketing agency. Combining digital PR with content marketing and search, she specializes in helping clients craft compelling online content that will grab the attention of top-level publications and, most important, their target audiences.
Bob Zeni Bob Zeni, founder of Bob Zeni & Associates, is an editor, designer and infographics guru. He leads infographics workshops based on 30 years of producing striking visuals for commercial publishing and employee communications. His clients include Accenture, American Bar Assn., Baxter Healthcare, McDonald’s, Motorola, TrueValue, Walgreens and Weber Shandwick to name a few. He was the founding designer and copy editor for three Crain magazines, including Crain's Chicago Business, and managed the art, design and photography departments at the Chicago Sun-Times. He launched Design for Democracy, a national initiative that brought clarity and efficiency to voting. He’s received dozens of honors, including the Social Relevance Award and AIGA’s Extraordinary Service Award. Bob teaches in DePaul University’s School of Journalism and in the Visual Communications Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Laura King-Homan Laura King-Homan is a communications specialist at Omaha Public Power District with nearly 20 years in print journalism, including page design, editing and reporting. She was part of an Omaha World-Herald design staff that won several Society of Newspaper Design awards. Laura has turned her news-gathering skills to content marketing for Omaha Public Power District, which serves 750,000 residents in eastern Nebraska. At OPPD, Laura edits the utility's news site, The Wire. She creates infographics for the site that have successfully told OPPD's story to its customers. Math might intimidate her—seriously, please don't ask her to do algebra—but she thrives on taking a number and explaining what it means through visual storytelling.
