Mark Ragan Mark Ragan is the publisher and CEO of Ragan Communications, Inc., the nation’s leading provider of corporate communication information and training. For 15 years, Mark covered Congress, the White House and national political campaigns for Copley News Service, States News Service, New York Newsday, the San Diego Union-Tribune and Insight Magazine.
Jim Ylisela Jim Ylisela is co-owner and managing partner of Ragan Consulting Group. He is an award-winning veteran Chicago journalist with more than 30 years of experience in newspapers and magazines, including the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, Chicago magazine, The Chicago Reporter and Crain's Chicago Business. From 1988 to 2001, Ylisela served on the faculty and was co-director of the Medill News Service at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. With RCG, he works with communicators across industries to create brand journalism news sites, organize and train writers and editors and restore reporting (and creative storytelling) to internal and external communications.
Janell Hazelwood Janell Hazelwood is a digital media journalist, speaker, editor, and consultant who has worked for media powerhouses including The New York Times, Black Enterprise, and Conde Nast. The Hampton University graduate's work and insights have appeared on The Huffington Post, E!Online, Ebony.com, CBS News and Brazen Careerist. She's fluent in women's issues, career advancement, guilty (reality-TV) pleasures and Trini patois.
Emily Kirkpatrick Emily Kirkpatrick is a writer, editor, and creative living in Brooklyn. She's currently the Senior Style Reporter at the New York Post and, in the past, her work has appeared on People, Buzzfeed, i-D, and Paper magazine. She loves coffee, rap music, fashion history, and spending a little too much time on Twitter.
Heidi Moore Heidi N. Moore is a digital media advisor to young startups, providing strategic advice and growth planning from the launch phase and beyond, as well as advising legacy organizations looking to create new verticals. Previously, Heidi was the editor and co-founded the Ladders. Previous work includes advising international newsrooms in Paris, business editor at Mashable, launching the business and personal finance sections for the Guardian US, the New York bureau chief for Marketplace Radio and reporter at the Wall Street Journal. Heidi was also the New York bureau chief for Financial News and her bylines have appeared in the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Financial Times, NBC and the Columbia Journalism Review. She has appeared on television for CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox and Bloomberg TV.
Christopher Robbins Christopher Robbins' journalism career spans a variety of media, genres and audiences. Now an associate editor of Financial Advisor magazine, he has been nationally recognized for his work as a newspaper reporter with the Watertown Daily Times. He has also been featured as a speaker and panelist addressing topics including investing, public relations, the news industry, personal finance and wealth management. When not writing, Chris lives near the beach in Asbury Park, N.J., where he enjoys music, gardening and cooking.
