Carolyn Shelby has been involved in developing and marketing internet technologies since 1994, when she was the co-founder and managing partner of an internet service provider near Purdue University. She is a regular speaker and trainer at search industry conferences around the world. She specializes in technical and enterprise SEO, helping organizations adjust their structure and focus to make the most of new media by integrating "search awareness" into their corporate communications and culture. As director of search engine optimization at tronc, Inc., Carolyn and her team are responsible for planning and implementing technical SEO and organic audience generation strategies across tronc's properties, including the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun, and the Sun-Sentinel.
